To tell the truth, it's not bad. There are some where it's military style = every rule must be followed or you're banned.

Reasons why the rules are the way they are, though:

• Been open since 2007. Most of us who started this forum have seen EVERYTHING. The forum was moved from a different server
  
• Not enough moderators
  
• Lot of information has been leaked to other places without credit
  
• There have been a number of irreconcilable differences = bad arguments.
  

Trust me, compared to other forums, the rules here are easy. Other boards require you to post a certain number of times before you can even access certain forums within the board. I think the rules here are simple. Just make sure you post the right issues in the right thread so none of the threads end up having minds of their own and going off on different tangents. For moderators and administrators, that can be a headache so I understand that. And they only require to post at least 20 in the beginnig as a sign you are active. This forum has so many different topics, it's not difficult to come up with 20 posts. I can tell you, other boards are worse. Besides, everyone here is so nice. Some of us are working people, obviously have lives outside of the internet, so I'm sure the Admin here would understand if you tell them. Just registering and then not posting doesn't exactly reflect you're really interested, right? So I understand why the Admins here have these rules. I hope this doesn't turn you off from posting. I love this board, and everyone here is super nice. :)
